Through the summer internship programme, SHKP offers local and overseas university students the chance to work in different departments of the company. In addition to providing job opportunities, the company also arranges on-the-job training and mentorship to help interns understand their strengths and potential. At the end of the programme, the interns exchanged their insights and takeaways from the two-month internship at a sharing session, where managers of various departments were also invited to extend their best wishes and offer advice.

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) won an impressive 16 awards, with ICC receiving the Supreme Grand Award in the "Energy Saving Championship Scheme 2017" organized by the Environment Bureau and Electrical and Mechanical Services Department.  

Winning the Supreme Grand Award as well as the Hanson Grand Award in the office category, ICC displayed its effective use of intelligent management systems to accurately monitor and control the operation and power consumption of various facilities as well as proactively work with tenants and community partners to promote environmental protection and energy conservation in order to achieve sustainable development.  The team is also currently developing an "Internet–of-Things" technology to collect and analyze big data through the use of a mobile digital platform, which optimizes energy performance, all in an effort to make ICC an intelligent green landmark in Hong Kong.

To this end, the Group participates in the HKSAR Government initiative called – The Pilot Scheme on Corporate Summer Internship on the Mainland and Overseas, which provides an eight-week internship opportunity for local students. Eight interns are seconded to a department in Shanghai, Beijing or Southern China in order to gain hands-on experience in the areas of research and development, retail leasing, residential sales as well as office sales and leasing.
