Since 2002, SHKP has been recruiting Management Trainees in Hong Kong and the mainland, nurturing young talents to become the company's future management. Group Training has recently arranged the newly recruited Management Trainees to visit various projects, so that they can learn more about the company's businesses.

The young people who have joined as SHKP Management Trainees are definitely the elite. Du Zhiyu, a Management Trainee (Mainland) working in Guangzhou's Parc Central, comes from Xiamen and did not speak Cantonese at all. To facilitate her training in Guangzhou, she spent two months learning the language, which showed her determination to equip herself. Jamie Chan, a Management Trainee (Hong Kong) in Corporate Planning & Strategic Investment Department looks forward to the three-year training, which will allow him to gain as much knowledge as possible to gear himself up. "The company offers us rotations to different departments for on-the-job training and learning. It also provides us with ample professional examination support, which is extremely helpful for our development," he said.

Starting last year, SHKP has participated in the Scheme on Corporate Summer Internship on the Mainland and Overseas, which is an initiative of the HKSAR government. In the scheme, the company provides local undergraduates with eight weeks’ practical work and training exposure on the mainland. In early June, 12 interns attended a series of orientation activities organized by the company. All of the interns were full of energy and seemed to be ready for the challenge.

In the first week, the interns visited various SHKP projects to learn more about the group's major businesses and the operations of different departments. This will be followed by a seven-week internship. Each intern will be sent to an SHKP project in Shanghai, Beijing or Guangzhou, where they will engage in job functions related to Investment & Acquisition, Office Sales & Leasing, Retail Leasing & Promotion as well as Residential Sales to obtain hands-on experience. Department supervisors, who are responsible for feedback and performance evaluations, will help the interns identify their strengths and potential for future career development.

Since its launch by SHKP early last year, the integrated SHKP Malls App has been fully upgraded to a new phase – an integrated loyalty programme named 'The Point by SHKP' (The Point), which offers customers a more convenient and innovative shopping experience.

Integrating 14 major SHKP Malls' loyalty programmes

The Point by SHKP has integrated the individual loyalty programmes of 14 major SHKP Malls into one, which are all connected with the SHKP Malls App so that customers can accumulate bonus points across different malls and redeem a great variety of privileges and offers. The Point covers major SHKP malls across the city, including APM, East Point City, Landmark North, Metroplaza, Mikiki, MOKO, New Town Plaza, Park Central, Tai Po Mega Mall, Tsuen Wan Plaza, V City, WTC, YOHO Mall, and Yuen Long Plaza. The programme will also be associated with V Walk, the upcoming mall atop the MTR Nam Cheong Station set to open in mid-2019, as well as Harbour North, which is expected to be fully open by year's end.
Now, VIP members of various individual SHKP malls can migrate their loyalty and bonus points to The Point through the SHKP Malls App, its WeChat official account or website^. Hong Kong's first-ever hourly 'contactless parking service'

Moreover, SHKP has rolled out Hong Kong's first-ever hourly 'contactless parking service', with MOKO, Park Central, V City and WTC serving as the first malls for members to use this function. After a vehicle's plate number is registered and validated via the SHKP Malls App, the system will automatically carry out an identity verification process when the car arrives at the car park, and the registered vehicle can directly enter or exit without tapping an Octopus or credit card*.

The Love Nature Campaign recently organized a beach clean-up at Nai Chung in Sai Kung, with volunteers from SHKP and their children as well as primary school students, teachers and parents. Home to about 1,500 species of coastal organisms, Nai Chung is a popular spot for many picnickers and this has led to a host of environmental pollution problems. While this activity has helped restore Nai Chung to a cleaner state, it will still require concerted public efforts to protect the environment in order to make this place a long-term habitat for coastal organisms.

Creating sound and illumination magic across the sky over Victoria Harbour every night, the ICC Light and Music Show presents for the local public and tourists a new and exciting performance for the coming fall-winter season – 'Music Wonderland'. The story behind this sound and light extravaganza begins with a little rabbit walking into a dreamy musical forest. The vivid, eye-catching animation coupled with lively music is sure to fill your soul with new-found vitality and warmth this winter!

From now until 31 March 2019, the 'Music Wonderland' sound and light show will be displayed nightly on International Commerce Centre's façades at 7:45pm, 8:00pm and 9:00pm. Apart from enjoying the show at the P3 and P4 public terraces of the IFC mall where synchronized music is broadcast, you can also download the ICC Light and Music Show smartphone app to listen to the music and sound while watching the show along the shores of Victoria Harbour.

WTC and New Town Plaza I capture key awards

Emily Wong of WTC and Rosanne Yung of New Town Plaza I won the Silver Award and Bronze Award, respectively in the 'Property Management Category – Junior Frontline Level'. Rosanne was also awarded the 'Excellent Service Star' by attaining full marks in two rounds of the mystery shopper assessment. In addition, WTC was named one of the 'Top 10 Outstanding Services Retail Brands' in public voting.
