During Mid-Autumn Festival, an occasion for reunion, the Evergreen Club organized a special luncheon for retired colleagues at SHKP's headquarters. In addition to gourmet food, the company arranged a number of exciting games and singing performances making the gathering filled with joy and laughter. The more than 60 members in attendance also received festival gifts from the company following the meal.

With the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, SHKP invited a tutor to teach our colleagues making cute rabbit lanterns. They can then bring their self-made lanterns along while enjoying the moon with their families amidst the festive holiday atmosphere.
 

The recently opened Hotel VIC on the Harbour is a chic addition to SHKP's premium portfolio of hotels that exhibit a host of unique characteristics. Race against time – showcasing the best of Hotel VIC

In preparation for the hotel's opening, it is a race against time to complete all the projects, staff recruitment and training on time. Hotel VIC has around 260 professionally trained full-time staff. To ensure the safety of guests, all staff are equipped with hotel security management knowledge including fire safety and crisis response procedures.

Employees become the first customers of the hotel

Hotel VIC organizes orientation programmes for staff on their first day of work to familiarize them with the company background and to meet and greet other co-workers. Thanks to the management's special arrangement, all staff members got the chance to become the first customers of the hotel's restaurant during its soft opening, which helped foster a closer working relationship, boost morale as well as sparking ideas for improvement from a customer's perspective.

Nurturing a work culture together

Sharing the common goal of creating a great impression for Hotel VIC guests, all staff remain open-minded to new things and new working partners.

With the aim of enhancing the people management skills of mainland colleagues, the Group Training Section designed a one-year training programme for related colleagues, which includes a three-day visit in Hong Kong to experience SHKP's corporate culture. They toured SHKP's landmark commercial and residential projects as well as exchanged work experiences and ideas with local colleagues.
 

The SHKP Quality Academy recently invited a certified financial counsellor for children & teenagers to hold a "Parent-Child Wealth Management Workshop", in which creative games were used to teach colleagues and their children the basic concepts of money management. Children also learnt the correct use of money through interesting shopping assignments.
 

SHKP recently invited two scholars – Prof. Ranjay Gulati and Prof. David Yoffie – from Harvard Business School to talk with our staff. Prof. Ranjay Gulati touched upon cultivating a business mind-set and building resilient leadership while Prof. David Yoffie detailed new business strategy trends using different case studies. Staff gained fresh and inspiring insights from the two-day lecture.

Recently, SHKP invited a professional instructor to teach us how to reduce paper waste in our daily lives. Our colleagues also learned how to make recycled paper and pencils from old newspapers, which is both a great eco-friendly and enjoyable family activity.
 

Recently, SHKP hosted a cake-making workshop at the Royal Plaza Hotel for our colleagues. Executive Pastry Chef Mr. Roy Chan was invited to serve as instructor to teach everyone how to make a raspberry white chocolate mousse cake. All the participants created their own delicious cakes to take home and share with their families. 
 

The Group Training Section recently organized an experiential workshop in which participating colleagues wore VR headsets. Under the instructions of the speaker, participants took up challenges in different virtual scenes and carried out various missions with teammates. All participants enjoyed this innovative way to build team spirit.
